A traditional and elegant upright wheel for the beginner as well as advanced spinner, the Rose is lightweight and can be folded for transport. It comes with super smooth, patented bobbins and a bobbin box that can also be used as a lazy kite. The Rose has ten main ratios and is supplied with a normal and high speed whorl, a delta and fine fiber flyer, and a jumbo as well as a normal flyer hook. It has a maintainance-free drive band, is designed for right or left handed use, and requires no threading hook.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Rose is an elite wheel that comes packaged with a high speed whorl and fine fiber flyer to increase its versatility. Also included is a bobbin carrier which can double as a lazy kate. Individually handcrafted, the Rose is a double treadle upright wheel with light, smooth treadle action and a convenient carrying handle. Features include a traditional spoked drive wheel, ease of use, ease of threading and a range of "Majacraft" accessories. All wheels are individually numbered, assembled and tested before packaging. The rose design is embellished on the stem and bobbin carrier.

ORIFICE HEIGHT: Adjustable both vertically and horizontally . Max height is 30 inches.

RATIOS: The "Rose" comes with two whorls to give a range of ratios. Main ratios are 4.25:1, 6:1, 8.0:1, 11:1 and 14.5:1 on the largest whorl and 6:1, 9:1, 13.25:1, 16.5 and 19.5 on the smaller whorl. These ratios are approximate due to variations in handturned wheels. Intermediate ratios are also available by belt adjustment on the drive wheel.

WHEEL DIAMETER: 17-3/4 inches. Built of MDF which is stable and long lasting.

CONSTRUCTION TIMBER: New Zealand Rimu.

BEARINGS: Flyer shaft and wheel are mounted on sealed roller bearings. Conrods mounted on spherical bearings.

BOBBINS: Wheels supplied with four plastic bobbins of large capacity. These bobbins are boilable and almost indestructible.

DRIVE BANDS: Flexible polycord

TENSION ADJUSTMENT: Head fitted with a scotch tension. Drive belt adjustment is by sliding head vertically in slot.

FLYER DESCRIPTION: The "Rose" comes with two flyers. A flyer with delta orifice is standard but is also supplied with a fine fiber flyer. Has adjustable flyer hooks for easy bobbin filling and also included is a jumbo size flyer hook for heavy yarns. Flyers are lightweight and easy threading.

TREADLE ANGLE: Comfortable heel and toe action hinged 50mms from base of pedals.

FINISH: Finished in a hardwearing precatalysed lacquer. The wheel is partially disassembled for shipping.

ACCESSORIES: An embellished chair to match the wheel is available. Lazy kates and other Majacraft spinning accessories.
